It appears that this bug is caused by bug #1013548 "session manager must be in idle state when requesting a shutdown" so I have marked that one as a dupe of this one.
The bug is now fixed upstream ( see https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5379 ) - it would be nice to see the fix in Ubuntu. ** Summary changed: - xfwm4 is not running after failed shut down + xfwm4 is not running after failed shut down / "session manager must be in idle state when requesting a shutdown" -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/978333 Title: xfwm4 is not running after failed shut down / "session manager must be in idle state when requesting a shutdown" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfce4-session/+bug/978333/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
