Just reporting that I have also had huge problems with the stability of my Wi-Fi connection. The following fixed this so far:
sudo modprobe iwlwifi bt_coex_active=0 swcrypto=1 I am still getting excessive amounts of Tx excessive retries, but my connection is fast and stable.
