In HP Compaq 2510p laptop the FN-hotkeys for brightness control have no
effect.
FN+f9 is supposed to decrease brightness, but the brightness does not change.
No message is displayed on screen.
FN+f10 is supposed to increase brightness, but the brightness does not
change. No message is displayed on screen.
- FN+f11 is supposed to turn light sensor (HP hardware lfor automatic
brightness) on/off, but the light sensor does not activate. A message symbol
similar to turning touchpad off is displayed on the screen (but touchpad state
does not change).
Brightness can be controlled from system settings / brightness and lock.
Also brightness is changed during idle or power adapter plugged or
unplugged.
