*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1052348 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1052348
Hi yohgaz,
may be you follow the discussion at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1052348
Martyn Russel the original developer is working on this problem, but he
needs the file that causes the crash for reproducing.
Could you provide one?
If you have still the .crash file in
/var/crash
you can execute it with right mouse click -> report
Than apport should start as you have seen already.
Following
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash
there is a button on the left like
"Show details" or may be (depending on additional packages and apport
version) " Examine locally".
Use this.
One of the entries you find there is stacktrace.
In stactrace must be an entry like
#16 0xb5586baf in gst_discoverer_discover_uri (discoverer=0x9a66190,
uri=0x99a5340
"file:///home/username/theses/V.Girondel/soutenance/P_HH_seg_CV0.mpeg",
err=0xbffc4770) at gstdisc
(
This is from the stacktrace attached to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tracker/+bug/1052348
)
As you can see there is a adress that points to the local filesystem
with
file:///home/username/theses/V.Girondel/soutenance/P_HH_seg_CV0.mpeg
which is in the case of bug 1052348
the file which causes the crash.
In your case the file will for high propability a other one.
Please find it like described and attach the file here or better at:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tracker/+bug/1052348
Than Martyn can give the fixing progress.
Thank you.
