With the kernel drivers, my device based on the rtl8192cu chipset shows
very poor performance (~50 kb/s downlink).

Only when installing the drivers supplied by realtek (
http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=2&PNid=21&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&ProdID=277&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true
) , I get full performance. According to this page, this driver is
merged into the main kernel since 3.0.2.

The debug information attached is with the drivers mentioned above
installed.
