The 3.5.0-28-generic_3.5.0-28.48~bjf+lp1167114+04_amd64 booted fine for me.
Re comment #108: I have just been testing for proper booting in multiple trys, including from a cold restart. To pass all the boots must work. Since these are test kernels I am only looking for the bug in question, assuming the other patches in the sequence may break and later fix other problems. The bisecting process assumes there is a particular patch where preceeding kernels don't have the bug and subsequent kernels do. Although this may not always be true, it does help identify when in a sequence of patches the bug is introduced, short of trying each patch in the sequence sequentionally. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1167114 Title: Ubuntu Kernel 3.5.0-27 does not boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1167114/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
