I think that https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/transcriber/+bug/548749 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/transcriber/+bug/346410 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/transcriber/+bug/670042 will all be solved by installing libsnack2-alsa instead of libsnack2. However I do not think transcriber package is the right place where this issue should be solved.
