Verified on 201208-11537 This system is able to boot in UEFI mode. But as Ivan's comment in #3, the system should be installed in the UEFI mode first.
1. Restore BIOS to default settings, make sure it will not boot in Legacy mode 2. Install Ubuntu 12.04.2 with a LiveUSB which was created by the Startup Disk Creator on another system. 3. Reboot, done. ** Changed in: grub2 (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1143359 Title: Dell Latittude 6340u - Systems will not boot in uEFI mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1143359/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
