A workaround to get shortcuts in non-Latin scripts to work again is to kill any IBus processes.
I killed /usr/bin/ibus-daemon --replace --xim --panel disable /usr/lib/ibus/ibus-dconf /usr/lib/ibus/ibus-x11 --kill-daemon /usr/lib/ibus/ibus-engine-simple and then I could "Select All", or start "Alt+F" to get the File menu. Thus, IBus is interfering with GTK+ apps, even if for those apps the default GTK+ IM is active. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1226962 Title: Hotkeys not functional in non-latin keyboard layout To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1226962/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
