Have you rebooted computer since you upgraded? I have had this kind of problem on LiveCD, where Konqueror would not access Internet but Firefox will. I have read that other have Konqueror work when Firefox don't. Also, the Network Manager may still be trying to connect. Sometime, quitting the Network Manager will make Konqueror to work again.
