Looking at main.log we can see:

2013-10-24 10:12:44,620 DEBUG Marking 'ubuntu-desktop' for upgrade
2013-10-24 10:12:44,772 DEBUG blacklist expr '^postgresql-.*[0-9]\.[0-9].*'
matches 'postgresql-9.2'
2013-10-24 10:12:44,772 DEBUG The package 'postgresql-9.2' is marked for
removal but it's in the removal blacklist
2013-10-24 10:12:44,784 ERROR Dist-upgrade failed: 'The package
'postgresql-9.2' is marked for removal but it is in the removal blacklist.'

postgresql-9.2 is currently not available in Ubuntu so the package would
be removed by the upgrade process, rather than remove it we prevent the
upgrade so that you will not lose access to your database.
