Hi, As I've mentioned in my previous comment, the key press and release events go through the kernel and are received by the X Server and the X Server understands the events well. So this seems not to be a kernel issue at all. Am I right? If so, this bug could well have been closed as invalid instead of expired.
Also, as I've alredy mentioned in the report (the first comment), the issue wasn't present on Debian, so this could be another hint that this has nothing to do with the kernel. Besides, this was the reason why I've reported this bug here, in the Ubuntu bug tracker. I could report the bug for a different component (KDE maybe?), other than linux, but I don't wan't it again to be reported against wrong component. And my knowledge in this field isn't broad enough to guess what component it could be. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1015496 Title: Disable-touchpad key does not work on Dell Vostro V3450 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1015496/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
