Because mount.ntfs kept my computer busy with high CPU load, and since I
don't need access to ntfs partitions when I use ubuntu, I deinstalled
the ntfs-3g package. The system will no longer boot and only gives me a
black screen. Since an NTFS driver can not possibly be essential for
operation of an Ubuntu linux system, such a system hang should not
happen.
Unfortunately, since the system only gives me a black screen, I am
unable to provide logs at this point, help with supplying them would be
appreciated.
