This missing symlink is indeed very annoying - without it you get
messages like:
(firefox-bin:12074): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.
Actually the link should look like this:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Aug 21 03:32 /usr/lib32/locale ->
../lib/locale
[Sidenote: missing multiarch support is becoming a real problem...]
