I am satisfied that I seem to have thrown a stone in the pond and that this bug is not the result of people unwilling to respect a translation (and the translator!). Данило Шеган even says it is a critical bug, and it is. It can drive people away from Ubuntu. Niklas says it is a problem in Ubuntu, NOT in Debian, so the problem must be somewhere in the process of building the Ubuntu packages. From personal experience (I translated some more) this problem does occur in other packages also, such as kst (very very "obsolete" translators credited), and gcalctool, which was translated again by me and committed for me some time ago by Wouter Bolsterlee (I am not a member of the Dutch translation team for Ubuntu). With no apparent result in the tribals of Gutsy so far. I was even considering switching to OpenSUSE or Fedora, but love Kubuntu too much for now to do this. And I see that my complaint is taken very seriously, for which I thank you very much.
