Public bug reported:

Speaker audio no longer works after suspend and resume on my laptop. The
sound icon in the desktop sound settings does not appear muted and
toggling the mute setting does not restore the speaker audio. *However*
I can restore speaker audio by muting the audio and then increasing the
audio volume from a muted state. This works when using the audio
function keys on my laptop, I haven't tried achieving the same thing
through the GUI. Strangely simply toggling mute doesn't restore speaker
audio, neither does just fiddling with volume, I have to increase the
volume from a muted state.

Additionally headphone audio doesn't appear to have any problems, it
continues to work after a suspend.
