The problem is that the recoverable-problem script, which is part of apport, will crash if the process which we are trying to gather information about has gone away. Then the recoverable-problem script, in its current state in RTM, will crash and create the linked to crash bucket.
So its not so much about retrieving crash reports on RTM as this doesn't improve reporting of recoverable problems for processes that have disappeared, rather it prevents crash reports about apport being generated which may result in a bad user experience. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1381658 Title: Top Crasher: /usr/share/apport/recoverable_problem:AttributeError:add_proc_info:main:add_proc_info:/usr/share/apport/recoverable_problem@75:main To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/1381658/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
