We found that MetroPCS works in mako even when forced to 2g-only. Next
we tested on a krillin running the Android image and found that although
we were able to search and see more than one operator network in the
results ( AT&T and T-Mobile ), krillin would not register to either.
So, this is a hardware incompatibility with MetroPCS SIM cards. This
has been communicated to the PES team, and thus I'm marking this bug as
Invalid.
