Any progress for Wily (15.10)? I came from: http://askubuntu.com/questions/491995/icedtea-plugin-for-openjdk-8
After I update openjdk-8 sudo apt-get install -y --install-suggests openjdk-8-demo openjdk-8-source visualvm openjdk-8-jre openjdk-8-jre-jamvm fonts- ipafont-gothic fonts-ipafont-mincho fonts-indic The only missing package is icedtea-plugin-8. Eclipse 4.5 works indeed better with openjdk-8 and some apps like "Eclipse Optimizer" and "JRebel" are recommending this upgrade. Would be nice if some ubuntu worker could sync this package from debian and raise the priority since Ubuntu is the distro preferred for a lot developers and could increase the ratio for develop new apps based in new java version. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1385842 Title: icedtea-8-plugin not available for openjdk-8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/icedtea-web/+bug/1385842/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
