I can't speak for all but I have noticed a few including me using the
shutdown from the drop down at top right.  Interesting note for my case
- since I was not able to get debug info I decided to try a different
browser so I switched from Chromium to Firefox and oddly have not had
the problem since that switch.  Firefox is just a temp for now, I am
going to switch back and see if the problem persists with Chromium.  If
so Maybe Chromium has a background app that is hanging.  I have not
installed ANY of the Ubuntu extra feature Web Apps in Firefox where as
Chromium has all my google apps integrated.

How to capture the shutdown/poweroff dump data for debug?
