I've tracked this down. It seems to be a bug in VMWare's LSILogic emulation. It wrongfully says MaxDevices is 0.
To fix it, apply the patch from http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/3/23/345 and remove the mpt_channel_mapping stuff from /etc/modprobe.d/options. 112860 should remain resolved as it looks like basically the same issue as this, but with just one disk. ** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Triaged -- Ubuntu 7.10 Alpha Gust OS does not recognize a lun with non zero target id on Vmware ESX Server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140761 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
