Hi!

You say it appears randomly. It looks like it's related to setting the
input gain of the microphone (or line input). This seems to hit several
people, so we should try nail it down. Is there anyone here who'd like
to take some time and work with me to try to find the bug? (Might
require you to get more logs, try test versions of Pulseaudio, etc).
