I just realized dconf 'dump / > dump.txt' doesn't dump everything seen in dconf-editor, only the fields in bold (non-default values?). For example /org/compiz/gwd isn't in the dump file.
Should also note I have gnome3 desktop environment installed alongside unity but I recall the issues weren’t a result of installing that. I attached a dconf dump of /org/compiz after running dconf reset -f /org/compiz on the problem file.
