I'm sorry that this bug was filed when I was completely confused, but that's the nature of some bug events. I know I was trying byobu for the first time and nothing much was working. I just now tried the obvious thing of starting byobu and pressing F9, and just got nothing at all. Of course, now I have a collection of tmux sessions going, so that may have changed things.
My bad for not getting verbatim error texts at the time. I should not have filed a bug without them. I was trying F9 because it's listed in byobu's man page as being "commonly" bound to "configuration menu". It seems odd that it does nothing. I don't see any complaints about config.py, and I know I never figured out what config.py was or where it should have come from. I'm obviously still mostly confused, but I have more or less concluded that byobu adds nothing that I can't get from bare tmux. It would be nice if the man page or those tutorials I tried would be clear about what it offers -- perhaps I'm missing something. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1615103 Title: config.py is needed, but not found, for some operations such as F9 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/byobu/+bug/1615103/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
