That is interesting that it works for you. When I enable the restricted driver and reboot. it says that my card does not support composite extensions. I know it works, because I used to download the drivers and install them from the ATI site, years ago with older Ubuntu releases. Do you think I should file a bug report about it not working? I'm not quite up-to-speed on how all the bug report procedures work in launchpad. So I don't know if that is something they would care about. Just wondering since you have more experience with it. On a side note. I've often thought of just giving my video card to Ubuntu, so they can make sure it works.
