Sorry for the delay Chris (penalvch), I finally got back to my Linux
partition.  I noticed rc4 was released, so I downloaded and installed
that and sound works! (wifi is still busted and I got some form of dkms
apport "kernel is not supported" error when installing the deb, but
that's beside the point...  Again sorry for being unspecific, but having
to reboot to post means a lot of detail gets lost...)

If this bug is finally fixed I'll be able to use my Linux partition much
more :)  Thanks for following this me-again and penalvch!
