I think everyone here have missunderstood the whole issue! if I upgrade net-tools (contains ifconfig), I don't loose my net connection, right? If I upgrade ssh, I don't loose it either!
So why should I loose it when i upgrade network-manager!? It have absolutly nothing to do with 'server use', it have to do with the fact that the upgrade script is stupid - forcing a restart. A simple question would suffice (when the package is installed) seen only at a debconf option of > high. -- network-manager is restarting the network on upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107013 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
