It's my lucky day. Pulseaudio has failed several times today. I see this in syslog for only one of the failures:

An hour or so later it quit. Not much detail, though: $ time LANG=C pulseaudio -vvvv --log-time=1 > ~/pulseverbose.log 2>&1 [1] 17630 killed LANG=C pulseaudio -vvvv --log-time=1 > ~/pulseverbose.log 2>&1 LANG=C pulseaudio -vvvv --log-time=1 > ~/pulseverbose.log 2>&1 32.48s user 29.58s system 1% cpu 1:08:45.80 total I've attached the log from that 2nd failure (PID=17630).
