The same occurs to me when I am installing Dapper Drake (6.06.1)on a HP
Blade Server ProLiant BL35p G1.
I see the same entries in the partman log as Kevin but one more entry:
"no volumes groups found"
This happens after the syslog reports

partman: File descriptor 5 left open
partman: File descriptor 6 left open
partman: No matching physical volumes found

partman: File descriptor 6 left open
partman: Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while.
partman: no volume groups found
and nothing goes futher.
SCSI-Controller is LSI Logic / Symbios Logic SAS 1064 PCI-X Fusion-MPT
SAS (rev 02)
I do need to set up server urgent, so I would like to set the importance
to "high"!
