Public bug reported: I just installed a fresh 64bit gutsy on my laptop instead of the 32bit i was already running.
During boot-time, right after the GRUB-menu has appeared, the screen goes black. I.e. bootsplash does not work. First thing i see after that is GDM. Gnome works fine and the resolution is OK. Switching to TTY1 - 6 (ctrl-alt-f1 - f6), shows a very large login-prompt with a very low resolution. After logging in, it appears that my screen doesnt show everything there is to show.. I'm not sure what information to include here. Please ask if more info is needed. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- 64bit gutsy doesnt show bootsplash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163081 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
