Public bug reported:
What you expected to happen:
The internal microphone is available as an input source.
What happened instead:
The internal microphone is not detected at all and does not appear in
the list of available inputs.
I tried using hdajackretask to mark other input pins as microphones
results in inputs that do nothing, i.e. no sound is detected. I double
checked that they were not muted.
The codec is Conexant Generic.
