Pretty curious why this bug isn't mentioned on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FocalFossa/ReleaseNotes#Desktop ? Since this is a real show stopper for anyone using Ubuntu Desktop seriously AND the issue was reported months before the release of 20.04, it should at the very least have been clearly communicated via i.e. the release notes mentioned above.
