I finally found the culprit: the bug came from a local custom-made
website (http://localhost/...) I had visited before and that contained a
favicon.ico with PNG data in it (instead of ICO data). The favison.ico
was in my cache, and anytime I typed an address containing "local",
Epiphany crashed.

After removing the cache and fixing the issue in the favicon, the bug
disappeared.
