Ubuntu 8.04 alpha 4 i386 desktop CD
In gparted, after performing an operation, I clicked "save Details" in the
"Applying pending operations" dialog.
The "Save Details" file dialog offered "root" and the filesystems in the Places
list on the left.
No "Desktop", "Documents" and such.
I saved the (HTML) file to "root".
Then I wanted to open this file in Firefox, by selecting menu "File / Open
file..." in firefox. Its "Open File" dialog had the following items in "Places"
:
Search
Recently Used
Desktop
rofs
cdrom
(the filesystems: disk partitions and one USB key)
Documents
Music
Pictures
Videos
No "root". Not even under "Recently Used". Or any other item. (I did not try
Search).
I simply could not find the file I saved 1 minute ago.
