Thanks for finding this out. This is an interesting point. IMO, the actual behavior is not bad since it gives the possibility to cancel just one partition check and since most of time, only one partition will get checked. However, I have to admit that if I would type Esc while the system is doing the check of the partitions, I would expect it to cancel all tasks. Setting Importance to wishlist.
