I did a do-release-upgrade and it stalled at Setting up locales (2.7.9-4) ... Installing new version of config file /etc/belocs/iso-639.def Generating locales... en_AU.UTF-8...
Just FYI. I got 2 GB of RAM - 52MB of which are used by localedef process. 1 of 2 CPU's is at 100%. It is stalled. I checked the command line: localedef --no-archive --magic=20051014 -i en_au -c -f UTF-8 en_AU.UTF-8 What is the --magic Parameter doing?? I cant find it in the man page.. ! -- [hardy] generating locales stalls on 64mb ram https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/202959 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
