The cause of the problem was already found by someone else: http://osdir.com/ml/linux.kernel.suspend.devel/2007-10/msg00091.html
"rmmod ehci_hcd" makes suspend/resume work (more or less). What remains is a distorted X server display that I can reproduce with 2.6.24.7 and that cannot be fixed with HAL quirks. In 2.6.25.15 however everything works perfectly (using pm-suspend quirks --quirk-vbe-post and --quirk-vbemode-restore). I am not sure it is worth trying to fix all this in 2.6.24. What bothers me is that 2.6.26 fails too. It would be great to have out of the box suspend/resume in Ubuntu 8.10. -- Resume failure on Acer TravelMate 662 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254890 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
