I'm not sure what gives you that idea. We're participating primarily to
help you guys get Hildon packaged and later modified to your needs. We
might also be able to share some experiences in working with internet
tablets.

If by maemo you actually mean internet tablet -like devices for which
Hildon UI was originally designed then please refer to Intel who made
the decisions. (To my knowledge we weren't directly involved. The MID
slides mentioning Hildon took many of us by surprise.)

Personally I see running UME on ARM similar to running it on washing
machine. Someone needs to work on it to make it happen. Most people here
are working on to see it on x86 tablets first. Seeing UME on n800 would
be quite interesting for Nokia, but as you can see we're not really
pushing for it.
