Aside from the kernel, there would also be the issue of having the installer detect and set up the -psb X driver. (This is why I was asking about how the xorg.conf is generated when we met last week.) Possibly it would load up the vesa driver, which the installer usually does when it doesn't know what else to do. If this is considered an important use case, this might be something to work towards for Gutsy+1, but I think it may be too late in the cycle for Gutsy.
