Please find the status update for 'thermal extensions' (Dabney).

We had submitted the patches for review within Intel and we had
received some comments to make the patches as a general thermal
management solution. We are currently working on that and next set of
patches should be positively available around WW41. Until then Ubuntu
can use the previous patches. Those are well validated and are stable.

The thermal patches have been delayed by a few days due to bugs in the
last kernel upload. The problems have now been solved. So I will
commit the patches this week.
You should be able to compile your own kernel including those patches.
Or if you want to wait for the binary images from Ubuntu, it would be
sometime next week.
