Indeed; thanks! Updating to newer tarballs is going to nicer, but there's going to be a small transition to the tarball mode which is going to be different on a per source basis, solving particular weirdness of each module. Weirdness is expressed per module below. :) I took the highest version of hardy and hardy ppa and compared to the released tarball versions. I also checked whether we have bzr branches for these modules, but usually we don't. I think I'll propose splitting the updates amongst us soonish. crown-beach-config: normal update process, we have to update to the new version; warning: latest version of the source is in hardy, not in the ppa[1] gstreamer-dbus-media-service: we already have a 0.1.17 tarball in the ppa probably with custom changes in the tarball, we will have a problem replacing it with a different one; releasing a dummy 0.1.18 upstream would be nice, or we can remove from ppa and reupload hildon-theme-mobile-basic: we have to update to the new version and check we didn't have custom changes in the tarball marquee-plugins: we have a 0.22 tarball in the ppa (!) probably with custom changes in the tarball; releasing a dummy 0.23 upstream would be nice, or we can remove from ppa and reupload mobile-basic-flash: we have a 0.35 tarball in the ppa (!) probably with custom changes in the tarball; releasing a dummy 0.36 upstream would be nice, or we can remove from ppa and reupload mobile-matchbox-keyboard: is this the same as matchbox-keyboard? Not sure we're tracking this or want to. moblin-clutter-home: we don't have it at all; looks like we want it though ;) moblin-games: we don't have it at all; don't know whether we want it moblin-keyboard-manager: we already have a 0.51 tarball in the ppa probably with custom changes in the tarball, we will have a problem replacing it with a different one; releasing a dummy 0.52 upstream would be nice, or we can remove from ppa and reupload moblin-media: we have to update to the new version and check we didn't have custom changes in the tarball moblin-media-browser-plugin: we need to update to the new version and check we didn't have custom changes in the tarball ppm: we have 0.8 in the ppa uploaded by Intel (but it fails to build); the module looks a bit young, so it might be best to revert it to an older version for now unless it's in use by anybody? I've sent a review of the packaging and of the most important problems to the uploader. I don't know what the version in hardy is capable of. samsung-q1-ultra-config: we need to update to the new version and check we didn't have custom changes in the tarball ume-config-common: we already have a 0.10+repack tarball in hardy created from the 0.10 release and repacked to drop the .git and debian/, we will have a problem replacing it with a smaller version; releasing a dummy 0.11 upstream would be nice, or we can epoch the version but that's painful.
