Hi, The N-Trig capacitive touch digitizer is neither a active digitizer nor a regular touch screen or something in between.
as far as I know there is no driver yet (in 2.6.27) for the N-Trig Digitizer. I mailed N-Trig about linux drivers when I was choosing from various tablet pc models are year or so ago but didn't get a response. Many different flavors of the Wacom active digitizer are working fine, so I went with that. N-Trig's digitizer is relativly new, however I found out that there is work going on. It's a USB device and there are patches coming in for USB HID. See links below for more details on the patches: http://groups.google.com/group/linux.kernel/browse_thread/thread/5cd3c0446dfd4726 I think you can expect basic support in 2.6.28, although I could be wrong about that, haven't had time to go through the full thread. Point is that I don't know how much of the intelligence is on chip and how much is in software. Thinking of pen input and palm rejection, disabling touch when carrying the device and so on. Hope that gives to some clue where to start.
