Hi there, I worked on the package of alliance in order to synchronize the whole with the fedora pkg of Chitlesh (see http://chitlesh.fedorapeople.org/alliance/ )
The package is now having entries in the menu for some apps (+icons donated by Chitlesh): Graal, DReal, Xfsm, Xpat, Xsch, Xvpn and a little bit different file hierarchy to avoid some problems with for instance libbdd* The packaging is here: http://julien.boucaron.free.fr/alliance/20070718/ and almost finished (The alliance2006 is not up to date, and will not be...) I have a couple of questions concerning packaging: Alliance relies on a lot of Shell variables (there is a specific script in /etc/alliance/alc_env.sh) and I have introduced some bash scripts to have this env. setting, is there any "cleaner" way of doing it ? Also, I don't find my way of putting icons clean (absolute path works nice but...), if someone as a detailed procedure or can comment on that ? How can I put a rule to avoid building on amd64 and 64bit stuff, because Alliance use a lot of pointer arithmetic... and it does not work on native 64 bits yet Since this is my first "real" packaging, if someone can have a look and told me what is wrong, that will be great; in order to speed up the revu process.
