Well, in short, Edubuntu doesn't have much new features ready at this point, so our alpha-1 would be pretty close to Edubuntu 12.10, except for the updated packages coming from Ubuntu. That and there's the fact that I'll be running alpha-1 so won't have much time to spend testing or documenting Edubuntu's alpha-1. So after a bit of discussion with Jonathan we figured that the effort to get everything in shape for an Edubuntu 13.04 alpha-1 is not worth it. -- Stéphane Graber Ubuntu developer http://www.ubuntu.com
