Помогло:
sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup
Ранее предлагалась эта команда в сообщениях.

В предыдущей версии ядра (выбираю в GRUB) Virtualbox запускается, Win 7 guest
загружается
нормально.
Как это можно исправить?
