apt-cache policy openssh-client openssh-client: Installed: 1:5.3p1-3ubuntu1 Candidate: 1:5.3p1-3ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1:5.3p1-3ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status The system I am connecting to: apt-cache policy openssh-server openssh-server: Installed: 1:5.1p1-6ubuntu2 Candidate: 1:5.1p1-6ubuntu2 Version table: *** 1:5.1p1-6ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status However, I do use static IP addresses and have added both hostnames to the /etc/hosts file. -- openssh-client in lucid cannot connect to openssh-server in karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530513 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openssh in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
