Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

I have an Nvidia card and two monitors. I can use this setup in
TwinView flawlessly. I am trying to use it as two separate screens
defined as "Left" and "Right" in my server layout section. "Right" runs
my normal desktop, and "Left" a full-screen mythtv frontend. I am using
the attached xorg.conf. It has the "Right" layout first (as default).
And It works fine. I boot up and can log in using just the "Right"
screen. Then, as root, I type the following:

X :1 -layout Left

to fire up the "Left" screen. Instead of starting the server using the
"Left" configured screen and device it tries to take over the current
"Right" screen. This fails with an error. See attached.

I assume this should work. Perhaps not?

I know I can use the server layout labeled "Both" - But I don't want
Gnome to manage the "Left" screen at all. I want to place myth-frontend
on it and use it as a TV. This is why I am attempting to start the
"Left" section after login. There is probably a way to tell Gnome to
ignore the screen and use the "Both" layout. I'm looking inti that now.
However, I believe I should still be able to start another X server
using the described scenario without a problem.

Thanks.
