Vsevolod , I have the same type of problem. When I take a screenshot I see the cursor and some icons/menus. The icons I see in the screenshot are not visible on the screen. For example, I cannot see OpenOffice menus on the screen, but I can see them in the screenshot or in a VNC session from a remote computer.
Which Ubuntu version are you using?
