Fellow Citizens:

Think of yet another "third term"for Museveni! Yup the man with Vision.  This, already bad situation in Kampala will be made worse.

Museveni with his NRM, in case you have not yet noticed, are obsessed with "wining the fight against "KONY REBELS". ..no matter the cost involved in "winning" such war. Indeed Kaguta has been at it for now 20 years...and counting! Dry season after dry season  but victory against the illusive KONY REBELS continue to dodge  Kaguta.

Meanwhile  our  citizens are in great need  in Kampala and other places all throughout the country as the report below clearly  shows .

FIFTY-SIX percent of Kampala residents live in poverty, without food and shelter, according to a recent research conducted by Reev Consult Limited."The research shows that most people live without the basics of life. They do not have food and accommodation. When they eat lunch, they are not sure if they will eat supper. They only live on hope that things will get better. They only bother to survive in this harsh economic environment. They work to survive only for the next day," said researcher Dr. Augustus Nuwagaba recently.

Nuwagaba, a Makerere University lecturer and a specialist in urban poverty, said most of the people lead a life characterised by informal settlement (slums), operating an informal sector and not taking part in the economic activity of the city.He said if there was no improvement, he says, people would resort to crime as a means of survival."These people lead a very demeaning life worse than those who live in the villages.

Surprisingly, they are not ready to leave the urban centre. They have a perception that things will get better. They live on hope. The question remains, when will things get better?" Nuwagaba said. The research focused on Bwaise, Katanga, Kisenyi and Kivulo slums where most low or non-income earners stay.Nuwagaba said in such areas, crime and diseases, especially HIV/AIDS, were high.

He said poverty led to crime, thus making life a nightmare.Nuwagaba said the problem resulted from poor policies.

"The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the state."

- Dr. Joseph M. Goebbels - Hitler's propaganda minister
