I've just committed patches (mine and Moritz Engel) for installing unattended completely from DVD. I've also made FreeDOS based bootdisk for it
It's here http://ekot.narod.ru/unattended/dvdboot.imz
It can be both written on floppy and used as boot image for DVD.
It's not very stable because neither Microsoft mscdex nor FreeDOS shsucdx do not work for whole installation process and I have to use both of them.
I've tested it with WinXP, but think it should work with other OS'es as well.
